The Blossoming Heart Series is inspired by sacred hearts found in Latin American folk art. These hearts are made with materials that are nailed, chipped, and worn. Sometimes our hearts have to go through a bit of wear in order to grow strong and blossom.
Carved from found wood this radiant heart is crowned with flames. There's a vintage escutcheon with tiny painted clouds inside nailed to the delicately detailed surface. The wood is painted with acrylic. There's a hook on the back to hang it.
